Google Search Console

Purpose

To verify domain ownership of https://techfinite.com/ in order to link it to the Google Play Console developer account.

Steps Followed

1. Opened Google Search Console

   • URL: https://search.google.com/search-console

2. Added Property

   • Selected "URL Prefix" option.

   • Entered: https://techfinite.com/

3. Chose Verification Method

   • Selected: HTML file upload (alternatively: DNS/Meta tag/etc.)

4. Verified Domain Ownership

   • Uploaded the HTML file to the root directory of the website:

     google-site-verification: googleaacffced2f08d76d.html

   • Clicked “Verify” in Search Console.

   • Status: Ownership Verified

5. Confirmed Active Ownership

   • Verified property now visible in Search Console dashboard.

6. Returned to Google Play Console

   • Navigated to: App Content > Website

   • Submitted verified website URL: https://techfinite.com/

   • Ownership status: Accepted

     
     

     Publish Applications to Play Store

   1.Create Application in the Play Console

   Once developer account is active, you can create a new application entry in the Play Console:

   • Navigate to "All apps" and select "Create app".

   • Provide Initial App Details:

     • App Name: Enter the name that will appear on Google Play (up to 30 characters).

     • Default Language: Select the primary language for app listing.

     • App/Game Type: Specify whether it's an app or a game.

     • Free/Paid: Indicate whether app will be free or paid. This cannot be changed from free to paid after publishing.

     • Developer Program Policies & US Export Laws: Review and acknowledge agreement with these critical policies.

   • Create App: Click the "Create app" button to proceed.

   2. Prepare Store Listing

   A compelling store listing is crucial for attracting users. This section covers all the information users see on app's Play Store page.

   • App Details:

     • Short Description (80 characters max): A concise and engaging summary of app's core functionality.

     • Full Description (4000 characters max): A detailed explanation of app's features, benefits, and use cases. Incorporate relevant keywords for App Store Optimization (ASO).

   • Graphic Assets:

     • App Icon: A high-resolution icon (512x512 pixels, 32-bit PNG with alpha).

     • Feature Graphic: A prominent banner image (1024x500 pixels, JPG or 24-bit PNG with no alpha). This is used in various promotional areas on Google Play.

     • Screenshots (minimum 2, maximum 8): High-quality screenshots showcasing key aspects of app's user interface and functionality. Include screenshots for different device types (phone, tablet).

     • Promotional Video (Optional): A YouTube video showcasing app.

   • Categorization:

     • Application Type: Reconfirm whether it's an app or a game.

     • Category: Select the most relevant category for app (e.g., Tools, Education, Gaming).

     • Tags: Add relevant tags to improve discoverability.

   • Contact Details: Provide a support email address (required), website URL (optional), and phone number (optional) for users to contact you.

   3. Set Up App Content and Pricing & Distribution

   These sections address compliance, target audience, and availability.

   • App Content: This section involves a series of questionnaires to determine app's content rating and ensure compliance with Google Play policies.

     • Privacy Policy: Provide the URL to app's privacy policy.

     • Ads: Declare if app contains ads.

     • Content Rating: Complete a questionnaire that helps Google determine the appropriate content rating for app. This is vital for app discoverability and compliance.

     • Target Audience and Content: Define the age groups app targets and declare if it appeals to children.

     • News App: Declare if app is a news app.

     • COVID-19 Contact Tracing/Status Apps: If applicable, provide necessary declarations.

     • Data Safety: Provide detailed information about app's data collection and sharing practices.

   • Pricing & Distribution:

     • Free or Paid: Confirm app's pricing model.

     • Countries/Regions: Select the countries where you want to distribute app.

     • Device Catalog: Ensure app is compatible with the devices you intend to target.

   4. Upload App Bundle and Create a Release

   This is where you upload compiled application file.

   • Navigate to "App releases" > "Production track" (or a testing track like Internal Test, Closed Test, Open Test).

   • Create New Release: Click "Create new release."

   • App Bundles and APKs: Upload signed Android App Bundle (.aab) file. Google Play will then generate optimized APKs for different device configurations.

   • Release Name: Assign a name to release (e.g., "Version 1.0.0 Initial Release").

   • Release Notes: Provide clear and concise release notes highlighting new features, bug fixes, and improvements. These notes will be visible to users.

   5. Review and Rollout

   The final steps involve reviewing all the information and submitting app for review.

   • Review Release: Carefully review all the details of app listing and release configuration. Ensure everything is accurate and compliant with Google's policies.

   • Start Rollout to Production (or desired track): Once satisfied, click "Start rollout to production" (or "Start rollout" for testing tracks). This submits app to Google for review.
